My father came to Canada on the Mont Royal in April 1929 from Greenock in Scotland and returned in December 1930. Because of the depression, what I want to find out is what happened during those months and where did they send them.
Information is very hard to get.
His name was Francis Jamieson. He was 18.

Francis jamieson
Thank you for that information, sorry it has taken so long to answer.
My pleasure.
Juvenile Inspection Report
by: Deborah
I have attached the juvenile inspection report for your father. The names are not very clear but it seems he left the second home he was placed in and ended up in the House of Industry in Toronto. As a public charge and having aged out of the program, it seems he was deported back to the UK.
There may be other documents which I have not found yet as I have not made an extended search.
